Celebrate local independent designers who work with sustainable materials and adhere to green business practices at The Bay Area Guide to Independent Fashion Festival hosted by YBCA. Offering a runway show, vendor fair featuring clothes and accessories from emerging and established regional brands; and panel discussion on fashion and politics, this event highlights the craft and couture of some of the Bay Area’s most dynamic independent designers. It also offers a glimpse inside and a living exhibit based on the upcoming book The Bay Area Guide to Independent Fashion by Letitia Ntofon.

The Festival for the Thirteenth Annual "How Berkeley Can You Be!?" and is the termination point for the Grand Parade, located in Civic Center Park, (Martin Luther King Park), in between Martin Luther King Way and Milvia, Center and Allston Way, in the heart of downtown Berkeley. Included in the Festival is an outdoor stage with wonderful live music and dance, food and drink booths, crafts, non-profits, and children's activities.
