will feature over 90 indie crafters and designers from across the country. Approximately half of our vendors are new and emerging talent in the indie craft community. Expect to find a smorgasbord of handmade items, many cleverly made with recycled materials. Something for everyone-jewelry, toys, lotions, art, glass, fiber arts, ceramics, handbags, baby items, even crafting supplies.

Join in the communal process of reuse and celebrate our collective creativity! You are invited to Swap-O-Rama-Rama, a giant clothing swap and series of do-it-yourself workshops in which a community explores reuse and creativity through the recycling of used clothing.

It's easy to make the move from consumer to creator - and it's fun. At this Swap-O-Rama-Rama you'll find a host of talent brought together to teach you how to transform your new/used duds into works of your own. Together they bring you: DIY Stations where you can learn many wonderful ways to create out of textile reuse, Sewing Stations where local designers will teach you fresh clothing mod tricks, on site Silk Screeners & Stencilers with a host of original designs and extraordinary local designers who'll show off their work in the Swap-O-Rama-Rama reuse fashion show.

The Northern California Women's Herbal Symposium


field day will be at the woman's herbal symposium for both sessions. look for me in the kitchen cooking. field day wearables will be for sale and trade at the market place on Sunday the 17th and 24th of may. This is one of my favorite events of the year.

The Berkeley Farmers' Market 17th Annual Holiday Crafts Fair
Farmers' Market (lots of organic produce) & Local craftspeople selling a wonderful variety of beautiful handcrafted gifts. Live Music all day, every day of the fair: 10am-11am - Alan Lipton ("Sly, sincere, progressive acoustic rock); 11am-12 noon - Laura Inserra (world music percussionist); 12 noon-1pm - Mark Abdilla (playing 500 years of lute & guitar music); 1pm-2pm - Dave Harris (great rock & folk songs acoustic); 2pm-3pm - Lindell Reeves (classic r+b, soul, blues, etc.); 3pm-4pm - Evie Ladin, Suzy Thompson & Allegra Yellin (old time). This event is supported in part by the Berkeley Civic Arts Program. A program of the Ecology Center since 1987, the Berkeley Farmers' Markets offer a wide range of mostly organic produce and healthy, locally-produced foods. Together with educational events, cooking demonstrations and live music, these award-winning markets serve as a central meeting place for members of our diverse and vibrant community. One block from downtown "Berkeley" BART, lot parking.
